Interview Trainer — AI Learning Prototype

Project Overview

Interview Trainer is a mobile-first learning prototype I designed and built to help users practise job interview answers and receive AI-powered feedback.

The goal was to create a simple, realistic interview experience where learners can record spoken answers, replay their responses, and receive structured feedback to improve clarity, confidence, and professional communication.

This project combines UX design, learning experience design, visual branding, and AI-assisted feedback into a single end-to-end product.

My Role

I led the full project from concept to delivery, including:

  • Product concept and learning flow design

  • UX layout and mobile interface design

  • Visual identity and branding

  • Video-based interaction design

  • Front-end implementation (HTML/CSS)

  • AI feedback logic and prompt design

  • Learning structure and question sequencing

This was an independent project built alongside my professional teaching and design work.

Key Features

  • Video-based interview questions presented one at a time

  • Users record spoken answers directly on mobile

  • Playback functionality for self-review

  • AI-generated feedback highlighting strengths and areas for improvement

  • Structured interview question flow (12+ common interview questions)

  • Focus on clarity, structure, confidence, and professional language

The experience is designed to feel lightweight and approachable while supporting deliberate practice.

Learning Design Approach

I structured the experience around:

  • Progressive questioning (from general to behavioural questions)

  • Immediate feedback after each response

  • Encouraging self-reflection through playback

  • Adult learning principles: practice, feedback, iteration

Rather than passive content, the product emphasizes active participation and short feedback loops.

Technical & Creative Stack

  • UX and visual design

  • HTML / CSS (mobile-first layout)

  • Video capture and playback flow

  • GPT-based feedback logic

  • Learning content design

  • Branding and interface assets

Outcome

The prototype demonstrates my ability to:

  • Translate learning goals into usable digital experiences

  • Design structured learning flows

  • Combine visual design with educational thinking

  • Integrate AI into practical learning tools

  • Deliver complete creative products independently

This project reflects the direction of my current work: bridging creative design with digital learning experiences.
