Interactive E-Learning Course | Adobe Captivate | Instructional Design
Overview
This project is a fully interactive e-learning course designed for non-native English speakers preparing for job interviews in English.
It was my first complete instructional design build using Adobe Captivate, created both as a professional showcase project and as a deep practical exploration of learning design, user flow, and multimedia integration.
The course combines structured language instruction with interactive simulation and AI-powered practice.
The Challenge
Non-native professionals often struggle not with technical knowledge, but with:
-
Structuring answers clearly
-
Using appropriate professional vocabulary
-
Controlling grammar under pressure
-
Building confidence in live interview situations
Traditional language courses rarely simulate real interview dynamics.
The goal was to design a course that moved beyond passive learning and into active, applied practice.
My Role
I designed and built the course end-to-end:
-
Learning objectives and module structure
-
Script writing and instructional content
-
Visual design and branding
-
UI layout and interaction design
-
Video and audio integration
-
Quiz logic and feedback systems
-
AI-powered speaking practice integration
-
Export and deployment testing
Course Structure
The course includes:
-
Structured modules with progressive learning outcomes
-
Grammar micro-lessons tied directly to interview question types
-
Vocabulary development tables and contextual examples
-
Interactive quizzes and knowledge checks
-
Drag-and-drop matching activities
-
Scenario-based exercises
-
Video instruction and guided walkthroughs
-
Interview simulation with audio/video prompts
-
AI-powered speaking feedback component
Each module reinforces both language accuracy and interview performance skills.
Key Design Decisions
Scenario-Based Learning
Rather than abstract grammar instruction, every lesson is contextualized within real interview situations.
Cognitive Load Control
Clean layouts, consistent navigation, and progressive disclosure prevent overwhelm.
Microlearning Blocks
Content is segmented into manageable units (vocabulary, grammar, practice, simulation).
Confidence Building Framework
The course moves from knowledge → controlled practice → simulation → reflection.

-
Translate complex language concepts into structured learning journeys
-
Combine pedagogy with digital interaction
-
Design immersive simulations
-
Integrate AI-enhanced feedback into learning environments
-
Deliver a complete end-to-end e-learning product
